As a BNI member I met Steve Dale of NBC Bird & Pest Solutions South East London branch and after talking with him I asked him to deal with a infestation of pigeons in the roof space at my home.
Steve visited the house, assessed the problem efficiently and ascertained the most convenient mode of access, which was far from straightforward. He gave me a price for the job and completed it on time and for that amount.

The National Galleries of Scotland have used the services of NBC Bird and Pest Solutions for the last two years for bird, rodent and insect control. The contract covers eight different buildings in Edinburgh, each presenting their own particular problems. At the Gallery of Modern Art we have the Jencks Landform which has raised grass mounds and a series of ponds and have proved not only attractive to members of the public but for the passing gull population. Thanks to Ian Cain of NBC and his falconry services we have significantly reduced the damage caused by the gulls and provided even more interest for members of the public. NBC Bird and Pest Solutions has been very successful for our needs, and at Wooler, they did what our national contractor said could NOT be done! Namely, pigeon-proof netting of cab roofs. They also proved to be much better value for money than the national contractor in our attempts at rabbit control at our Bishop Auckland site, and their ongoing control measures have and are still drastically reducing the damage wrought by rabbits at site In short, I heartily recommend them, based on both performance and cost.

NBC Bird & Pest Solutions successfully completed proofing works to the Union Square retail development which we completed late October 2009 in Aberdeen.
NBC completed the following works on our behalf
* Spiking of soffits and leading edges on roofs and plant rooms
* Netting of main roofs including support frame and structure
* Mesh works to low level plant & support rooms
* Vermin removal (pigeons and seagulls)

Building upon the success of NBC's bird deterrent programme at Shell's St Fergus Gas Plant, NBC has been retained at the neighbouring Total Gas Plant in St Fergus to implement an annual bird deterrent programme. As part of its commitment to environmental excellence, Total has selected NBC's natural methods of bird scaring which uses a team of specially trained hawks and falcons, flown by our bird control technician throughout the year to move gulls from year round roost and seasonal nest sites.
It is proposed to continue with this strategy in future years, to keep the gull population under control across the whole St Fergus Terminal and improve the breeding chances of other species whose numbers are in decline.
